Koeppel (pronounced, "kah-PEL") Community Sports Center of Trinity College in Hartford, 175 New Britain Ave, Hartford
with a reception following, at the Koeppel Center.
Doors open 9 a.m.

ACCESSIBILITY: The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, and there will be reserved seating for those in wheelchairs. There will be a drop off area in front of the Center. The lot at the Koeppel Center will be reserved for those who need handicapped-accessible parking.
PARKING
Because parking onsite is limited, parishes and deaneries are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CHARTER BUSES. There will be parking available nearby in other lots of Trinity College off of Broad Street (click here for a map). You can park in any designated parking lot on Trinity's campus; they won't be ticketing or towing that day. If you plan to arrive in your own car, we strongly suggest arriving early, so as to have plenty of time to park and get to the venue. Handicapped parking is available at the Center, and there will be a drop-off area by the entrance. Driving directions here. Contact info to discuss bus insurance here. NEW INFO 4/6: In addition to the parking indicated on the Diocesan website, satellite parking is available at the open air lot for $5 at the corner of Trumbull and Main streets, with shuttles running every half hour from the Crowne Plaza and the Marriott Residence Inn (across from the Cathedral) and the Koeppel Center. Someone will be available the entrance to the Koeppel Center to assist with directions to parking.
BANNERS
Church schools, youth groups, or young adults are invited to bring their parish or group banner and participate in the procession. Please indicate on the RSVP form whether or not you will be bringing a banner. And please remember to bring its stand so you can place it during the procession. More details here.
REHEARSAL
If your presence is expected at the rehearsal, you will be contacted directly.
BISHOPS AND SPOUSES
All bishops and bishop spouses are requested to arrive at the venue at 8 a.m. at Saturday morning to meet with the Presiding Bishop and her husband. Breakfast will be provided.
VESTING ROOM FOR CLERGY
Clergy are to wear cassock and surplice, with a white stole. Clergy who are vesting are requested to arrive at the Koeppel Center at 10 am to vest and to line up for procession. Clergy will be vesting in the Center's visitor locker rooms. The rooms are large with ample space and restroom facilities. They are not secure rooms, however, so please arrange to leave valuables in your car or on your person. Contact Rev. Molly James (associate@stjohnsessex.org) if you have any questions.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
Certain sections will be designated for service participants, for diocesan clergy, for visiting bishops and spouses, for Ian Douglas' family and friends, etc. Ushers will be available to help.
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
There will be a reserved section of the Koeppel Center that will allow children to see and participate more fully in the worship. All children will receive a specially designed tee shirt and a child friendly bulletin with activities and instructions to follow the worship. Contact info here.
YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS
Youth (grades 6 - 12) and young adults from around the diocese are invited to serve as greeters and ushers for this celebration. If you would like to be an usher or greeter you will need to commit to a rehearsal on the evening before the consecration, Friday, April 16, as well as Saturday, April 17 till 3 p.m. More info here.
HOTELS
Rooms were reserved at two downtown Hartford hotels for guests attending the consecration, the Crowne Plaza and the Marriott Residence Inn. The deadline for discounted rates was April 2.
CONSECRATION CHOIR
Vince Edwards, music director of St. Paul's on the Green, Norwalk, is putting together a massed choir for the consecration. Singers wanted! One Saturday rehearsal prior to April 17, plus 9 a.m rehearsal on the 17th. Details and contact info here.
PRAYER VIGIL
All parishes are invited to participate in a 24-hour prayer vigil preceding the consecration, from 10 a.m. April 16 through 10 a.m. April 17. Sign up online using this scheduler to indicate the hour your church will be in prayer. Details and more info here.

WELCOME & SEATING OF THE BISHOP ON APRIL 18
The day after the consecration, the new bishop will be officially welcomed and seated at the Cathedral during the 10 a.m. service at Christ Church Cathedral, 45 Church Street, Hartford. More info here.
