Dec. 2, 2012 - 1 Advent   New cycle begins

__________
* About this cycle of prayer: A new revised diocesan cycle of prayer started officially on 1 Advent 2011 to coincide with the church year. It includes the first significant revisions in more than 15 years.  There have always been three parts: a cycle of the individual parishes, now updated; a cycle of wider witness and ministries, now expanded; and a cycle of prayer for our official mission partner/s, which is now the Companion Diocese of Colombia, and that was also updated. This cycle was posted for 2010-2011 for trial use and comments invited; no comments were received. The cycle used to begin in late August only because that was when a print directory was mailed and diocesan staff wanted to combine the mailings. A transition series of prayers from late August to 1 Advent were included here.
