Bishops

There are three bishops serving in the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.
The bishop diocesan is the Rev. Dr. Ian T. Douglas, elected in 2009 and consecrated in 2010. Bishop Douglas works with two bishops suffragan: the Rt. Rev. James E. Curry, elected in 2000, and the Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens, elected in 2007. The three bishops meet regularly and work together in a shared episcopal ministry. In addition, each has assigned responsibility for specific areas of ministry and specific organizations and networks. All have offices at Diocesan House in Hartford.
